I'm not an architect and I don't know design, but were were just trying to do things as we could. In the beginning [our night porter] was cleaning the grill, he put it outside and someone drove by, thought it was scrap metal and stole it. Our two night porters were in cahoots with each other, and broke into the office, stole my laptop, stole the sous chef's laptop, and then stole all the keys to the restaurant.

TB: Do you have any plans for another cannabis dinner? This interview was conducted before news of the lawsuit broke, and Cohen now says she has no comment on the situation. Leah Cohen: I moved to Southeast Asia for a year and staged at any restaurant that would take me.I just packed a bag and didn't have anything planned.I was pleasantly surprised that I got two stars from Pete Wells. I don't think any normal person would jump that quickly in the industry.I know he likes Asian food and he gives a lot of two-stars out, so I was hoping for that, but I didn't really expect it. And then as far as the other reviews go, I don't really care. And then after all the negative press that I got from the show, I kind of moved to Asia. People were tearing me up and it's hard not to read that, especially when I know it's going on. I want to go somewhere where no one knows who I am and I can just go back to cooking." Because that's what I do, and that's what I wanted to do, and I wanted to try something new and I wanted to challenge myself in a different cuisine that I'd never done before.Last fall, chef Leah Cohen opened Pig & Khao, her Southeast Asian restaurant on the Lower East Side.

With a menu of dishes pulled from travels in Thailand and from her Filipino family, the restaurant falls, as Cohen freely admits, into that growing cohort of "hipster Asian restaurants" like Talde, Mission Chinese, and Pok Pok.

Its a huge jump in recognition that I leveraged to build my own dream of owning my own business and doing things the way I wanted to do them.

I have not only built a company that I am extremely proud of, I am cooking the food I want to cook, learning how to farm and raise animals, traveling the world, and spending more time with people I love.

Carla Hall is one of the most recognizable alumni of the entire franchise, Leah Cohen is killing it at Pig and Khao in New York City, and who can forget Fabio Viviani? We caught up with Hosea Rosenberg, who is now living in Boulder, Colorado. Rosenberg is constantly evolving, and he is embracing Colorado.

He is the owner of Blackbelly, a market, restaurant, catering company, and butcher shop which truly embodies the farm-to-table philosophy. He recently made headlines when he hosted a cannabis themed dinner at his restaurant, which included four courses and marijuana pairings for each.

The dinners are a collaboration with dispensaries, so we don’t actually ever have it in the kitchen. In fact, I really want to host a reunion dinner at my restaurant one of these years before Aspen Food & Wine.
